All Aurora 404 Page Features
Aurora gives you full control over the content and layout of your 404 page from Appearance → Customize → Layouts → 404 Page Style. No theme file editing required.

Layout
Choose from five 404 page designs: Default, Simple, Deep, Serene, and Anthro. Each has a distinct visual style. See Aurora 404 Page Layouts: All 5 Designs Compared for a full breakdown.

Page Title
The main heading shown on the error page. Default: Page Not Found. Change it to anything that fits your site’s tone, something direct, friendly, or on-brand.
Body Text
A short message below the title explaining what happened and what visitors can do next. Default: Sorry, the page you are looking for does not exist or the link is incorrect.
CTA Button
A call-to-action button that gives visitors somewhere to go. Two fields:
- Button text
- Button URL
Point it anywhere: your homepage, a popular category, a contact page, or a sitemap.
Background Image
The Default, Serene, and Deep layouts accept a user-set background image. Deep ships with a default illustration (an island scene with a submarine) that you can replace with your own. Anthro uses a fixed mammoth illustration that cannot be replaced. Simple uses no background image.
Navigation Menu
Aurora registers a dedicated 404 Menu location. Assign a menu to it and a navigation block appears on the 404 page, separate from your primary header navigation. Good for linking to your most visited categories or a search page. See How to Assign the 404 Navigation Menu.
