How to Add a Bio and Logo to Your Footer
Aurora’s footer supports an optional bio text and logo, giving you a space to introduce your site or brand at the bottom of every page. Both are set from the Customizer and display on all footer layouts except Stripped.
Where to Find the Settings
- Go to Appearance → Customize.
- Open Layouts → Footer Layout.
Footer Bio
The Footer Bio field accepts plain text. Enter a short description of your site, brand, or publication. It appears in the footer alongside your logo when both are set, or on its own if no logo is uploaded.

Keep it short. One or two sentences works best in the footer context.
Footer Logo
Upload a separate image to use as your footer logo. This is useful if you don’t want your header logo showing in the footer. You can use the same image or a different version (a white or light variant works well on darker footer backgrounds).
After uploading, use the footer logo width controls to set the display size at desktop, tablet, and mobile screen sizes. See How to Configure Responsive Logo Widths for the exact settings.
Which Footer Layouts Support Bio and Logo
The bio and logo appear on all footer layouts except Stripped. The Stripped layout is a minimal footer with no widget area at all. It shows only a thin bottom bar with copyright text on the left and social icons on the right.
Tips
- If you do not upload a footer logo, Aurora falls back to your header logo (or site title text if no logo has been added). The first column always renders. If you leave the bio field empty, that line simply collapses with no gap between the logo and the social icons.
- A white or transparent-background logo works best if your footer uses a dark background colour.
- Upload your logo at 2× the intended display size for sharp rendering on high-density screens.
