Aurora includes 5 homepage layouts, each with a distinct post presentation style. All homepage settings are controlled from the Customizer with no code required.
If you prefer to use a custom homepage, you can set a dedicated page as your Posts page and the settings here will apply to it.

Switching the Homepage Layout
- Go to Appearance → Customize.
- Open Layouts → Homepage Style.
- Select a layout from the dropdown.
- Navigate to the homepage in the live preview to see it applied.
- Click Publish.
The 5 available layouts are Default, Bold, Crisp, Laid, and Rich. Each has a different post grid arrangement and visual hierarchy. Visit the live demo site to compare all 5 before deciding.
Post Source and Count
Each homepage layout lets you control where posts come from and how many appear in each section. You can pull from a specific category or tag rather than showing all recent posts. These settings are found under the homepage layout section in the Customizer, below the layout selector.
Section Titles
All post sections (except leading post blocks) let you add a title above the posts shown in that section. These are already pre-styled, but you may adjust the title designs using CSS as you wish. You can also clear out the text or leave the field empty to disable the title for that section.
Content Sections
Every homepage layout includes up to 4 content sections positioned between post blocks. These are free-form slots where you can add ads, email signup forms, promotional banners, or any custom HTML or shortcode. They are blank by default and completely optional.

Setting a Static Homepage
If WordPress is set to show a static page as the homepage rather than the latest posts, Aurora’s homepage layouts will not apply. To use Aurora’s homepage layouts, go to Settings → Reading and set Your homepage displays to Your latest posts, or you can set a dedicated page as the Posts page to utilize the homepage designs and features.
