Aurora can display your social media icons in the footer, linking to the same accounts you’ve configured in the Customizer’s Socials & Contact section. The footer social icons are visible by default, and disabling or enabling the icons requires a single toggle.

How to Enable Footer Social Icons

  1. Go to Appearance → Customize.
  2. Open Layouts → Footer Layout.
  3. Make sure the Show social links in the footer toggle is enabled.
  4. Click Publish.

Where the Icons Come From

The footer uses the same social links you’ve set up under Customize → Socials & Contact. There is no separate set of footer social links. Enabling the toggle simply shows those same accounts in the footer.

If you haven’t added your social links yet, go to Customize → Socials & Contact and enter your profile URLs there first.

Notes

  • Only social platforms with a URL entered will display an icon. Empty fields are skipped automatically.
  • This toggle only controls footer visibility. Header social icons are not toggled separately. They appear automatically on layouts that include a social icon area as soon as you enter your social URLs under Socials & Contact.
  • Icon styling follows your footer’s color settings.
