Aurora Admin Dashboard Widget: What It Shows and Why
When Aurora is active, a widget appears on your WordPress dashboard giving you a live snapshot of your active layouts, settings, and quick links, all without opening the Customizer.
Active Templates
The widget displays a grid of your currently active layout for every page region:

| Region | What’s shown |
|---|---|
| Header | Active header layout name |
| Footer | Active footer layout name |
| Homepage | Active homepage layout name |
| Single Post | Active single post layout name + sidebar status |
| Archive | Active archive layout name + sidebar, masonry, posts per page, and banner type |
| Author | Active author page layout name |
| Search | Active search results layout name |
| 404 | Active 404 layout name |
Helpful Links
The widget includes a links section with quick access to:
- Theme documentation
- First steps guide
- Video tutorials
These might be change depending on what useful guides Aurora would like you to check out.
Need Help
A small section at the bottom links directly to the Aurora docs and contact form, useful if you need to find support without leaving WP Admin.
Why It’s Useful
The widget saves you from opening the Customizer every time you want to check what layout is active on a particular page. It is especially handy on multi-layout sites where different templates are running across archives, single posts, and the homepage simultaneously, a direct result of how Aurora’s layout system works.
