Aurora extends each WordPress user profile with six social media fields. When filled in, the corresponding icons appear automatically in the author block on single posts and author archive pages.
How to Add Social Links
- Go to Users → All Users in WP Admin.
- Click Edit on the user you want to update.
- Scroll to the Contact Info section.
- Enter the full URL for each social profile you want to display.
- Click Update User.
Authors can also update their own links by going to Users → Profile.

Where the Icons Appear
The social icons appear in the author block in two places:
- Single posts: in the author block below the post content
- Author archive pages: in the author profile header above the post grid
Only platforms with a URL entered will show an icon. Empty fields are skipped with no gap left behind.
Site-wide Social Icons
These author profile fields are separate from the site-wide social links in Customize → Socials & Contact, which control the icons in your header and footer. The two sets are independent. Changing one does not affect the other.
