How to Create a Footer Bottom Bar Menu
Last updated:
Aurora’s footer includes a slim bottom bar that runs across the full width of the page beneath the main footer content. You can assign a menu to this bar for links like your privacy policy, terms of use, or copyright notice.
How to Set It Up
- Go to Appearance → Menus.
- Create a new menu or select an existing one.
- Add the links you want in the bottom bar: policy pages, legal links, or any short list of items.
- Under Menu Settings → Display location, check Footer Bottom Menu.
- Click Save Menu.
Where It Appears
The footer bottom bar sits below the main footer columns. It is visible on all footer layouts that include a bottom strip. The links appear inline, typically alongside your copyright text.

Tips
- Keep this menu short. Three to five links works best in the narrow bottom strip.
- This location is separate from the three footer column menus (Footer Menu 1, 2, and 3). Each is independently assigned.
- If no menu is assigned to this location, the bottom bar still renders but shows only your site’s copyright text.
